I currently live in McMinnville,
Oregon. My husband and I have a blended family of six
children. Our family is big and sometimes boisterous, but we have a lot of fun together and I’m thankful for their love and
support.
I grew up in a musical family and took to the piano at a young age. My mom was a piano tuner and also taught piano lessons, and although I didn’t take structured lessons from her, she was always there to suggest new music and give me help as needed. With me, it wasn’t “You have to practice the piano before you can play,” but “You need to get your chores done before you can practice the piano.”
There’s never been a shortage of opportunities to put my love of playing to good use. From the age of 10 or 11, I was able to play for church choirs and groups, school choirs, and high school music competitions. As an adult, I’ve discovered a love for being involved in musical theater. And I’m back in high school again, accompanying choirs when I’m not working at my regular part-time job
with the local government. Word is also getting out that I’ve acquired enough equipment to turn our living room into a recording studio.
