- "Get Down! Goes
the Weasel," arranged for piano solo in a funk music style.
8/6/10
- A piano solo
arrangement of the hymn, "Master, the Tempest is Raging."
7/25/10
-
Free piano and organ
accompaniment to the hymn, "Come, Follow Me." Since this
arrangement was done at the request of our ward Primary to use in this year's
Sacrament Meeting program, it also reprises the chorus from another song to be
sung earlier in the program. The children sing the first verse of
"Come, Follow Me," then there's an instrumental verse with a flute (or
organ on a flute setting) descant, then the chorus of "I Know That My
Savior Loves Me," after which the organ joins the piano and the children
and congregation all sing the final verse of "Come, Follow Me"
together. In all, it's just over three minutes in length (at least at the
tempo I recorded it) and a nice way to end the program.

"My Hero Lies Over the Ocean," a moving arrangement of "My
Bonnie Lies Over the Ocean" dedicated to all who have loved ones serving
overseas. I'm offering the MP3 of this one as a free download. Also,
the "Family Suite" album has been digitally released and is now
available on most major music sites (Amazon, iTunes, Rhapsody, etc.).

"Froggy Went A-Courtin' (A Wedding Disaster Story)." Froggy
and his bride may meet their demise by the end of the story, but you have to
give him credit for style and originality, which I've tried to capture in this
gospel/blues rendition.
4/24/10
-
"Puff, the New Age Dragon," a piano solo dedicated to that lovable,
frolicking dragon.
3/27/10
-
"Come, Come, Ye Saints"
3/20/10
-
"Twinkle, Twinkle, Estrellita." Arranged in a minor key and
done in a style that takes you south of the border. Think Antonio Banderas
in "The Mask of Zorro"...
2/27/10
- Another in my series of children's songs put into new settings: "Michael
Row, Row, Row Your Boat Ashore." I don't think I need to explain
which two songs got merged here! It starts out slow and calm, but picks up
the pace not too far in and gets your toe a-tapping.
1/5/10
-
A piano accompaniment for "The Lord is My Shepherd," to be used
along with the vocal parts in the LDS hymn book (either the standard SATB
version or the SSA women's version). Link to online version of the vocal
parts provided. I do have the accompaniment-only track available - just
e-mail me and I'll send it to you free of charge.

Just in time for Christmas... "I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day."
11/14/09
-
Just finished my first Christmas arrangement, available for free
download. "Deck the Halls" done in calypso style!

One original piece, "Little Niagara," and two medley arrangements,
"You Are My Sunshine/Over the Rainbow" and "I Need Thee Every
Hour/Abide With Me; 'Tis Eventide," available for purchase. Also, the
MP3 of "Cayo Coco Island" with drums is finally available.
Thanks to Michael Larsen for recording the drum tracks for that and the Sunshine
medley! I think it adds a lot to the pieces - and it was fun to do.

Thanks to my friend, Candri Webb, and her beautiful voice, you can now listen
to and download piano/vocal recordings of the three songs that have lyrics:
"Crossing the Waters," "Thou, Who Created Raging Rivers,"
and "Walk in the Light."

The complete Family Suite is now available for purchase as a printed
book! Also updated all recordings on the music player after getting some
helpful mixing tips for my ProTools software to improve the depth of sound and
overall volume.

-
An original piece, "Uirapuru," available for purchase. See my About
the Music page for some interesting background information on this piece and
its unusual name.
7/4/09
-
An original samba piece, "Cayo Coco Island," available for purchase
(sheet music only for now, but the MP3 is in the works) and a fun little swing
arrangement of "I Have Two Little Hands" available for free download.

-
Added a music player widget from ReverbNation to make listening to the songs
easier.

Just in time for Easter, an arrangement of "I Stand All Amazed"
added to Free Music.

As a special treat, I've posted an original piece, "Ripples of
Moonlight," in Free Music. This one was actually composed by my
14-year-old daughter, but it deserves to be shared with the world. I think
you'll be impressed with her first composition for piano!
3/28/09
-
An arrangement of "A Mighty Fortress Is Our God" added to the Free
Music section.
2/15/09
-
The Free Music section on the home page now includes a recording of the SAB
version of "Crossing the Waters." The vocal parts are actually
played by a horn section, but it at least gives you an idea of what the
arrangement sounds like.

Now that the website is up and running and I'm not involved in any plays at
the moment, I was able to find some time to write a new piece! It's a very
loose adaptation of the familiar children's song, "The Ants Go
Marching," with a line also borrowed from "The Eensy Weensy
Spider" at the end. I really enjoyed playing around with this one and
seeing how I could give it a whole new feel. Thanks to everyone out there
who's taken the time to check out my site and pass the word on. The
feedback has been great!
